Transforming the world through experiences in solidarity, justice & fraternity
Enlaces Comunitarios Internacionales links communities, producers, volunteers, organizations, and academic institutions across local, regional, national, and international scales.
Social ties rooted in coexistence
We aim to build social ties rooted in coexistence and based on social responsibility, mutual respect, intercultural understanding, equality, justice, and solidarity.
This work encourages the healthy production, reproduction, and development of human life within communities, and a harmonious relationship with the environment.
Work begins where community, land, and volcano meet — students and local builders side by side.
Linking social processes
To link the development and articulation of social processes locally, nationally, and internationally — building areas and opportunities for meeting, collaboration, solidarity, analysis, action, and dialogue.
These processes are mediated by communities, social and governmental organizations, and academic institutions, encouraging practices that improve quality of life with ongoing respect for the environment.
Dialogue, cooperation, and intercultural solidarity
To encourage, promote, and support dialogue, cooperation, and intercultural solidarity among peoples and nations — with regard for biocultural dynamics and the responsible, balanced interaction between the biosphere and the anthroposphere at both local and global levels.
- Build and strengthen local processes.
Build, strengthen, and assist local community and regional processes through an emphasis on co-management, cooperation, solidarity, and social and environmental responsibility.
- Create networks of solidarity.
Create and strengthen collaborative networks between communities, civil and social organizations, and academic institutions through partnerships across sectors and disciplines, joint actions, and shared strategies.
- Shift consumption patterns.
Promote a change in consumption patterns in favor of organic goods and services, as well as locally and regionally produced products, marketed through the social networks of alternative trade and based on economic solidarity.
